糖尿病指導者を募集中

ウチの病院では糖尿病指導師（Diabetic Educator）を募集中です。内部の応募者がいませ〜ん。糖尿病はとても奥深いと思いますが、毎日毎日、糖尿病の指導だけを何件もするので、指導する方も３年でほとんどの人が燃え尽きて（バーンアウト）辞めるとよく言われます。そうは言っても他の２人のDiabetic Educatorは少なくても10年は勤務してるか。。。患者さんは糖尿病と一生つき合うのだから、糖尿病とのスタンスというか、ペースを保つのが本当に大変だと思います。募集要項をホームページからコピペ。私としてはスペイン語話せる人を希望だけど、どうなるかな。

Job Details: Under general supervision of the Director of Professional Development, the Diabetic Educator assesses the learning needs of patients, family members and staff providing individual and group instruction in diabetes self-management topics as needed. The educator evaluates the effectiveness of the educational process and communicates with the appropriate staff. The educator serves as a resource to patients, staff and the community in diabetes related topics.

Qualifications:

Requires an Associate of Science in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Prefer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Requires a minimum of three (3) years as an RN or RD in Diabetic Education. Prefer five to ten (5-10) years working as a Diabetic Educator. Must posses a current, valid Arizona RN or RD license and be in good standing with the AZ Board of Nursing. Requires CDE certification. Requires clinical expertise and advanced knowledge of Diabetic Education. Requires strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and organizational skills. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
